CEDS Candidate Handbook provides roadmap and forms to qualify for exam

Date:
Monday, November 1, 2010

ACEDS has published a CEDS Candidate Handbook that provides a step-by-step roadmap to persons who wish to sit for the certification examination. The Handbook covers everything from how to make a reservation to take the exam to a listing of the 15 major areas and 78 subtopics in e-discovery that are covered in the examination.

The Handbook identifies the eligibility criteria and requirements for taking the exam, and prerequisites that certification candidates must follow. It includes an application form and a chart that candidates can use to tabulate their experience, training and education credits that count toward eligibility. The Handbook may be downloaded at ACEDS.org/certification.

On the day of the exam candidates must follow certain pre-examination procedures and may not bring electronic devices, including Blackberries and iPhones, to the exam.

The examination may be taken at one of the 519 secure ACEDS-Kryterion Testing Centers worldwide, including 314 in the United States and 28 in Canada. All the sites are listed at ACEDS.org/certification.
