ARMA

ARMA International, which was founded in 1955, is a professional association and the leading authority on managing records and information – paper and electronic. Its approximately 11,000 members include records managers, archivists, corporate librarians, imaging specialists, legal professionals, IT managers, consultants, and educators, all of whom work in a wide variety of industries, including government, legal, healthcare, financial services, and petroleum in the United States, Canada, and more than 30 other countries. The association's Alliance Partnership with ACEDS paves the way for the 11,000 ARMA professional members to obtain the CEDS certification. ARMA members receive a special 25% discount in the certification exam fees to become Certified E-Discovery Specialists. More information at ARMA.org

ALSP

ALSP is the premier litigation support peer networking organization that has led the way in sharing knowledge and experience to those facing challenges in law firms and corporate legal departments. ALSP is the only organization whose members comprise the full range of individuals in litigation support, including litigation support managers and analysts, attorneys, paralegals, technical support staff, consultants, software developers and staff members of judges. In August 2011, ALSP officially endorsed the CEDS certification in lieu of building its own. The ACEDS-ALSP partnership focuses on CEDS certification but also portends a broader collaboration by the two associations. More information at ALSPonline.org.

ILTA

The International Legal Technology Association is the premier peer networking organization, providing information to members to maximize the value of technology in support of the legal profession. For more than 30 years, ILTA has led the way in sharing knowledge and experience to those facing challenges in law firms and corporate legal departments. Partnership with ILTA facilitates e-discovery certification and training to 13,000 professionals who work at 1,300 ILTA-member law firms and corporations. ACEDS promoted the training and peer networking programs of ILTA, especially the ILTA 2011 Rev-elation, in Nashville, and ILTA Insight 2011, in London. More information at ILTAnet.org.

Georgetown University

The Georgetown University Center for Continuing and Professional Education empowers individuals and organizations seeking to make positive and lasting impacts through professional education.Georgetown and ACEDS share an abiding interest and mission through their respective programs to advance competence, skills and knowledge in electronic discovery and to build communities of kindred professionals. The university's program, which is composed of three comprehensive courses, leads to a Certificate in Litigation Technology and Legal Project Management. Under this groundbreaking partnership, students who successfully complete the Georgetown University Certificate in Litigation Technology and Legal Project Management will be eligible to apply for the CEDS certification examination leading to the awarding of the Certified E-Discovery Specialist credential and receive one year of professional membership in ACEDS, as part of their enrollment in the program. Women in e-Discovery (“WiE”) is a pioneering organization that primarily provides educational opportunities regarding technology in the legal industry to its members. The organization offers networking and leadership avenues, promotes personal and professional growth of women, and donates mentoring and charitable contributions to its communities.
