May 12, 2021 – EAGAN, Minn. – The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), the world’s leading e-discovery training and certification professional association and part of The BARBRI Group, announced today the formation of its newest chapter, Atlanta, Georgia. This is the first of new chapters to be formally announced this year with several more to follow in Q2 and Q3.

The formation was driven by several ACEDS members who hold a certification in e-discovery from the association and wanted to provide a local forum through which legal professionals in Georgia could support the advancement of e-discovery and its adjacent areas within the legal industry.

The following experts will serve as the first volunteer officers for the ACEDS Atlanta Chapter:

President: Britt Willingham, CEDS
Vice President and Director of Education: Corinne Cartwright, CEDS
Secretary: Becca King, CEDS
Treasurer: Nilsa Moreno
Director of Marketing: Kayvon (Kevin) Gerami, CEDS
Director of Membership: Alex Khoury, CEDS
Directors at Large: Amy Catton, CEDS, Thanousinh Kueper, CEDS, Sean Leonard, CEDS, and Isaac Pereira, CEDS

The board of volunteer officers are currently developing the Chapter’s bylaws and coordinating an inaugural event for June for Atlanta ACEDS members and legal professionals to attend.

“ACEDS formed four new chapters in 2020 and now Atlanta is the first for 2021, a clear demonstration that legal professionals recognize the significant value derived from ACEDS membership. They want to be part of a unique global organization dedicated to networking and education designed for all involved in the e-discovery and information governance industry. We are excited to welcome our newest chapter into our growing association,” said Michael Quartararo, President and Professional Development at ACEDS.

“For many years, Atlanta has had an incredible community of eDiscovery professionals,” shared Atlanta Chapter President, Britt Willingham. “The new board is excited for those in Atlanta and surrounding areas to have a forum to broaden our professional networks, continue to learn and keep up with trends within the industry, and hopefully have a little fun along the way.”
