The latest rollout—in Clinton, Essex, Hamilton and Washington counties—marks another step in the judiciary’s broader push to expand electronic filing statewide, with practitioners citing efficiency and access-to-justice benefits.
The New York State Unified Court System has expanded electronic filing in Family Court to Clinton, Essex, Hamilton and Washington counties, continuing a broader effort to bring e-filing to additional courts and jurisdictions across New York.
Tuesday’s rollout follows a series of recent e-filing expansions, including Family Court implementations in Franklin, Montgomery, St. Lawrence and Warren counties in July and Oswego County earlier this year.
The court system also announced e-filing initiatives this month affecting Suffolk County District Court and city courts within the Ninth Judicial District, underscoring the judiciary’s continuing effort to digitize court operations across multiple court types and regions.
