Survey of 250+ legal professionals tracks the rise of generative AI across litigation and investigations

Sometimes change comes bit by bit. At others, it seems to hit all at once. Legal technology has experienced both.

Today, Everlaw released its 2026 Legal AI Adoption and Impact Report, documenting the rapid evolution of generative AI in litigation and investigations work. Born as the Ediscovery Cloud Adoption Report, this annual industry survey first began as the industry was in the midst of a long, often gradual transition from on-premises ediscovery technology to the cloud. Year after year, it tracked that shift as cloud adoption grew, eventually becoming firmly established as the standard for modern ediscovery.
