- In the first one, a fictional reporter attributed a damning statement about working conditions in her article to a prominent CEO, pulling it from what she thought was a reliable transcript. But the quote was fabricated—not by her, but by an AI transcription service she’d used to process an interview recording. That sounds like a very bad day for a reporter.
