Microsoft is expanding its foothold in the law firm market while lawyers’ concerns over the cost of legal technology grows, according to the International Legal Technology Association’s 2025 Legal Technology survey.
ILTA surveyed 580 law firms from over 12 different countries and found that Microsoft is a significant software provider to firms, organizations are following the media staying informed on agentic AI and law firms are continuing to move data to the cloud.

Microsoft Growing Its Foothold in Law Firm Market
Per the survey, more law firms this year are using Microsoft’s software including Azure for cloud and virtual services, Microsoft Teams for video conferencing, Microsoft Intune for software installation automation and inventory control as well as Microsoft Office 365 for primary office and email services.
