Speakers:
Matthew W. Poplawski (Of Counsel) is a key leader of Winston & Strawn’s multi-year highly rated Chambers (Band 2) and The Legal500 (Tier 1) eDiscovery and Information Governance practice. He advises clients on e-Discovery and review issues in numerous complex commercial litigations, multi-district products liability litigations (federal and state level), and regulatory investigations. Matt has argued e-Discovery disputes in Illinois state and federal courts. A large part of his practice involves solving discovery cost and risk challenges through the design and implementation of e-Discovery and document review blueprints for Fortune 500 clients. He is a board member of the ACEDS Chicago Chapter, a co-leader of the Duke University/EDRM working group on predictive coding, working group member of George Washington University’s Discovery Proportionality Model, and a member of the strategic planning team for the Seventh Circuit Council on eDiscovery and Digital Information. He is the co-editor of several publications, including Duke University/EDRM Technology Assisted Review (TAR) Guidelines, and eDiscovery Advantage, Winston’s quarterly publication focused on significant e-discovery, information governance and data privacy issues.
As Discovery Counsel at MoloLamken, Jennifer applies her expertise in e-discovery and information governance to complex litigation matters as well as government investigations. Jennifer leverages technology to understand data and maximize efficiency in fact gathering and analysis, from initial case assessment to identifying key evidence for trial. She advises on best practices and collaborates with case teams to innovate tailored strategies and solutions.
Dr. Irina Matveeva, Ph.D. is Chief of Data Science and AI at Reveal. She is also Adjunct Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology where she teaches Data Mining. Dr. Matveeva earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and her professional expertise includes Natural Language and Machine Learning technologies. Dr. Matveeva frequently presents on the subject of AI and NLP.
Bill is a member of Relativity’s Community Enablement team, providing workflow consultation to clients to enhance their experience with Relativity. Bill previously practiced law in the area of mergers and acquisitions and has extensive experience in the technology field. His special emphasis is in the application of AI technologies to solve document review challenges.
Kevin Hearn is a Certified eDiscovery Specialist (ACEDS) and has been a board member for ACEDS Chicago since the start of the chapter. As an eDiscovery Consultant for Cimplifi, Kevin regularly works with clients on eDiscovery workflows to help save time and money – often by leveraging AI. Always looking to further his eDiscovery education, Kevin is particularly interested in the area of AI & Machine Learning.
