The last few years have seen a spur of new legal tech solutions in market, especially as the legal industry scrambled to accommodate remote workflows during the pandemic.
Now, as this technological boom shows few signs of slowing, another vertical is re-emerging after years of hibernation as a means of informing buyers of what various tools are available to them: legal tech directories.
Robert Ambrogi, a lawyer and journalist, founded the legal tech directory LawNext in February of this year, emboldened by repeated questions from firms and legal departments about how different tools compare with each other.
“As somebody who has been blogging about legal tech for years, I regularly get people reaching out to me looking for a product,” Ambrogi said. “[They say], ‘I am confused by all the ones out there and I want to know which one is the best fit for me.’ I told them I am not a consultant. But after a while, I wanted to be able to give them a resource to make comparisons and find out more information.”
