We’re halfway through 2021, and we can plainly see as we emerge from pandemic life,  that remote work is here to stay. Here are some pretty compelling remote work stats from the State of Remote Work Survey by OWL Labs:

  • 70 percent of full-time workers in the United States worked from home during the pandemic.
  • 77 percent of respondents agree that after COVID-19, being able to work from home would make them happier
  • 1 in 2 people won’t return to jobs that don’t offer remote work
  • 81 percent of respondents believe their employers will continue to support remote work after COVID-19, even after workspaces are able to re-open.

Why?

Lots of upsides, like saving 40 minutes daily on the commute, or saving on average nearly $500 per month, while 75 percent of people reported being the same or more productive during COVID-19 while working from home.

A pretty compelling testament to the value of remote work. Moreover, given that remote work is looked upon so favorably by so many, it is logical to conclude that the adoption and use of collaboration applications enterprises use will continue.
