MINNEAPOLIS, MN – June 24, 2019 – Women in eDiscovery, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization that brings together women interested in technology related to the legal profession, announced today the addition of two new regional directors. Lauren Doucette has been named director of the Southwest Region. Cheryl Moretti will be responsible for management of the Northeast Region. Since its inception in 2007, Women in eDiscovery (WiE) has grown from 30 members to thousands of members in 28 chapters worldwide. The organization provides women opportunities to help each other grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.
Lauren Doucette has been involved with Women in eDiscovery since 2015. She served as a committee volunteer for one year, then was elected an assistant chapter director for the San Diego Chapter, and most recently, served a two-year term as the San Diego Chapter director. She has spearheaded the Southern California chapters’ collaborative efforts to host an annual Women in eDiscovery Tech Conference, as well as assisted in the development of a mentorship program and partnership with local female-focused tech organizations to further the development of women in the career.
Doucette is a practice technology and eDiscovery project manager at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton and manages the firm’s eDiscovery projects in the San Diego and Del Mar offices.

Cheryl Moretti has been an active member of Women in eDiscovery since its inception. Moretti served as meetings’ director for WiE’s first newly created international chapter in London.
Moretti has recently returned to Gibson Dunn’s New York office after a five-year secondment in its London office. She celebrates her 33rd anniversary this year at Gibson Dunn. A true eDiscovery expert, she has guided clients/counsel on both legal and technical aspects through each phase of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, educating on best practices and offering solutions to complex discovery issues.
As a litigation case manager, Moretti has been responsible for the high-level implementation of various types of client engagements involving discovery for complex litigation, regulatory investigations and other dispute situations with extensive experience in leading large cases with the management and execution of technology-based best practices and sound discovery methodologies with various case teams in countries all over the world.

Women in eDiscovery members are women who work within the legal industry, including general counsel, secretaries, partners, associates, chief operating officers, paralegals, litigation support and eDiscovery professionals. Membership is free and its executive board, regional directors and chapter officers operate on a 100 percent volunteer basis.
Local chapters typically hold an educational session, some CLE-accredited, each month, and the national board organizes larger events around major legal technology trade shows and association meetings throughout the year.
