Extract from Frank Ready’s article “ILTA>ON Is Still an ‘Important Investment’ for Vendors. Did It Pay Off?”
The ILTA>ON virtual conference has come and gone, leaving both vendors and the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) to assess how the event’s digital exhibit hall measured up to expectations. First impressions seem to indicate that both vendors and the organizations behind virtual legal conferences are still in the middle of a steep learning curve when it comes to maximizing the returns from virtual interactions.
ILTACON was originally scheduled to be held at Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland Hotel at the end of August. Shortly after the outbreak of COVID-19, ILTA considered pursuing some kind of a hybrid format to limit exposure, but the the decision was ultimately made to pursue the entirely virtual event that became ILTA>ON. Vendors were each allotted a page inside the event’s online “Solutions Center” where they could initiate video chats or run product demos with clients.
