Ricoh Named Among World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies

According to an article that appeared on USAToday.com1, Ricoh was named among the top 50 most innovative companies. The list, published January 2018, was compiled by 24/7 Wall Street by tallying patent grants awarded to a company and its subsidiaries to identify the world’s 50 most innovative companies. Ricoh made the list with 1,145 patent grants in 2017.
According to the article, of the thousands of American and international companies that were granted patents last year, just a few major corporations accounted for a massive share of global innovation. And of those patents, a handful of industries — including computing and telecommunications — accounted for the bulk of innovations last year.
