Today, Consillio announced it is set to acquire recruitment firm Adecco Group’s Special Counsel legal consultancy EQ and e-discovery business unit D4. Financial details weren’t disclosed.

The acquisition of Special Counsel’s EQ and D4 units will allow Consilio to strengthen its legal cybersecurity consulting abilities. “I think they’ve created a really strong foothold in the cybersecurity space and one we have not had strong traction in,” Consilio CEO Andy Macdonald said.

Along with cybersecurity guidance, Special Counsel’s EQ legal consulting services include managed review, data analysis, information governance and litigation and trial consultants. Meanwhile, Special Counsel’s D4 unit focuses on e-discovery by providing forensic and collection services, data hosting and paper-based document management, among other offerings.

This latest announcement comes on the heels of Consilio merging with Xact Data Discovery in April. Roughly 300 employees will be joining Consilio via the Special Counsel acquisition.
